We get working on some custom wall finishes in the bunkie. We want the walls to look great but not cost a fortune so we made some shiplap from plywood and used old skids for one of the walls.
We are ready to get the bunkie warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We are adding 1 1/2 inches of bat insulation to the inside of the walls.
So much snow and so cold out, I am working hard inside the warm bunkie getting it ready for a winter getaway weekend. We will be living in this full time for about 6 months while we finish the house this year so I am under a bit of a time crunch.
It was to cold to spend allot of time outside, but that does not stop the to-do list from getting longer. I took advantage of a break in the cold weather to get the chimney and wood stove installed so I have a warm place to work over the winter while completing the shipping can bunkie
We get the basement sheeted and and floor on hoping to dry the basement up so we can get timbers in for the winter.
Progress is being made on the barn. The walls are being framed and raised. Next step is to get the board and Baton on and get it closed in. It will be very exciting to have a closed in location to start finding normal. Build a shop, a training facility for Jessica. Just having a space that is completed will be pretty cool.
We get the walls built and raised in this video. We had to take them up and down a coouple times because something was not quite right, but in the end everything is frame din and looking good.
